Pennsylvania Casino Directory
Pennsylvania casinos launched in 2006. There are currently 12 casinos operating in the state. Nine casinos offer poker rooms
Harrah’s Philadelphia – 484-490-2217
Harrah’s Philadelphia is owned by Chester Downs, a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment. It opened on January 22, 2007. The casino offers over 2,900 slot machines and dozens of table games. Pit games include blackjack, baccarat, roulette and craps.
Hollywood Casino – 717-469-2211
Hollywood Casino opened on February 12, 2008. It is located in Grantville. It offers a 16-table poker room, 2,500 slot machines and 54 table games, including blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat and Pai Gow Poker.
Meadows – 724-503-1200
Meadows is located in Washington. It opened on June 11, 2007. The casino offers more than 3,300 slot machines. The table game pit consists of craps, roulette, craps and Three Card Poker. The poker room spreads 15 tables.
Mohegan Sun Wilkes-Barre – 570-831-2100
Mohegan Sun is located in Wilkes-Barre at Pocono Downs. It has the same management company as the famous casino in Connecticut. It was the first casino to launch in Pennsylvania when it opened slot machines to the public in November 2006. It also spreads a poker room and a variety of table games.
Mount Airy Casino – 877-682-4791
Mount Airy is located in Pocono. It opened in November 2007. The casino is located at an old racetrack. It offers 188 hotel rooms, thousands of slots, and two-dozen table games. There is also an 11-table poker room.
Nemacolin Resort – 724-329-8555
The Nemacolin Resort is located in the Laurel Highlands near Farmington. It is one of just two resorts operating gaming in Pennsylvania. It offers 600 slot machines and 28 table games. There is no poker room at Nemocolin. Gaming opened in July 2013.
Parx Casino – 267-525-7300
Parx opened on December 18, 2009 in Bensalem. Parx offers 3,300 slot machines and dozens of table games, including blackjack, roulette, and craps. It is also home to a 61-table poker room.
Presque Isle Downs – 814-866-8379
Presque Isle Downs opened on February 28, 2007. It is located in Erie, in the northeast corner of the state. It offers more than 2,000 slot machines, 50 table games, and nine poker tables.
Rivers Casino – 412-566-4606
Rivers Casino is located in Pittsburgh. It opened on August 9, 2009. It spreads over 3,000 slot machines, 107 table games and a 30-table poker room. According to state tax records, Rivers Casino is the highest valued gaming property in Pennsylvania.
Sands – 877-726-3777
Sands is located in Bethlehem. It is owned by Las Vegas Sands, the same company that owns Venetian in Las Vegas. The casino is home to over 3,000 slot machines, 180 table games and 36 poker tables. It also has a 302-room hotel. It opened on May 22, 2009.
Sugarhouse – 877-477-3715
Sugarhouse Casino is located in Philadelphia. It opened on September 23, 2010. It offers over 3,000 slot machines and 60 table games. It does not have a poker room. A proposed hotel has yet to break ground. The casino was one of the most controversial in Pennsylvania. It was met with strong opposition among neighborhood and anti-gambling activists.
Valley Forge Resort – 610-354-8118
Valey Forge Resort is located in King of Prussia. It opened on March 31, 2012. The resort offers many upscale amenities and a 486-room hotel. It offers 600 slot machines and 50 table games, the maximum allowed for a resort license in Pennsylvania. It does not offer a poker room.
